BD’s Duramax Black FleXplate is designed to reliably handle up to 1,500 lb-ft of torque. Featuring twice the material of the Stock flex plate, these units are billet machined, precision balanced. SFI 29.3 approved for use in racing sanctioning bodies. Black Oxide coated to resist corrosion and prevents hydrogen embrittlement that can cause cracking, these units will fit any OEM or aftermarket torque convertor and affordable enough to replace with a convertor or transmission swap. Why replace the entire flywheel assembly when it’s the flex plate that is the problem? Save your powertrain! BD’s FleXplate still allows axial thrust unlike the competitors solid flywheel conversions. The BD Black FleXplate is a direct bolt-in replacement for the stock unit – one part number covers all Duramax years. Great for racing, Towing or stock application. BD FleXplate has passed the newly created SFI 29.3 version testing – a much more stringent test for safty then the old 29.1 version. The 29.3 test is specific to the high horsepower Diesel engines only. The BD FleXplate is high speed Neutral Balanced almost twice as thick as the stock unit, the material is 30% stronger.
